Ferney Trail 10 kms
Come and experience The Ferney Trail 2011 with Le Domaine de L'Etoile challenge.
Please be at Domaine de L'Etoile @ 7:30 a.m. for registration. The 10 kms race will start @ 8:15 a.m sharp.
Participants will run their first kilometers inside the Chassée of l'Etoile before entering the sugar cane field track outside and along the Chassée towards Camizard mountain. They will then return into the Chassée of l'Etoile through 'L'Ouie-Fine' gate towards 'Borne 7' and climb the small 'Fort Apache' hill. Then participants will follow a little off piste track through the forest and across streams before the finish line at Domaine de l'Etoile.
The 10 kms route is accessible to a wider audience not necessarily familiar with running competitions races. The trail is open even for those simply wanting to have a great nature walk or have a good time in family. But, although easier, it requires, nevertheless, a good physical condition. Two drink stations will be provided.
This race will also help raise public awareness on the importance of preserving the wildlife and flora of Mauritius, which is constantly threatened by human activity.
We request participants to respect the environment around, in case of pollution by the participants, he/she will be immediately disqualified by the organisation. All waste must be thrown away at checkpoints only.
