Ferney Trail 28 kms
Come and experience The Ferney Trail 2011 with Le Domaine de L'Etoile challege.
The 28 kms race will start at Domaine de l'Etoile, Sebastopol @ 6:45 a.m sharp. Please be at Domaine de L'Etoile @ 6:15 a.m. for registration.
Runners will start the race at Le Domaine de L'Etoile, entering the Chassée and warming up on a quite flat track, before starting the great climb to 'Pullover', crossing Le Domaine de l’Etoile up to the boundary of 'Chassée Le Vallon'. After running along 'Le Vallon' mountain peak, participants will have to tackle the famous descent of 'Palmiste Piquant'. They will then continue through the valley of 'Le Vallon', climbing towards the entrance of the reserve of 'La Vallée de Ferney' at Gate No.12 and down to the Ferney lodge. Participants will then climb towards Camizard gate and return down to 'Le Domaine de l'Etoile' for the finish line.
This track is an extremely challenging trail with several mountain peaks to tackle and some off-piste. There are amazing views on the South East and East to be admired, a magical place across the Bambous Mountain Range, only accessible via the Ferney Trail.
We request participants to respect the environment around, in case of pollution by the participants, he/she will be immediately disqualified by the organization. All waste must be thrown away at checkpoints only.
