Let us protect our ecosystem!

A percentage of the money during the Ferney Trail will be donated to La Vallée de Ferney Conservation Trust, for the protection of indigenous and endemic trees of the Ferney forest!

Nested within the Bambou Mountain range, La Vallée de Ferney is among the last stands of native forest of Mauritius with a uniquely rich biodiversity.

CIEL Group is fully aware of the importance of this natural area and is involved in major conservation projects within Ferney forest, in partnership with the Mauritian government.

Since 2006, a conservation plan of the forest began, with the gradual elimination of invasive alien species and replanting of native trees. More recently, a first class research fieldstation was set up and opened in the valley, which will be paired with a future re-introduction programme of endemic birds such as the Pink Pigeon and the Echo Parakeet.

Your contribution and visit to La Vallée de Ferney will help us to protect our biodiversity.
